Stockton Ormesby Sexual Abuser
In March 2016, John Murden, aged 58, received a 14-year prison sentence for the sexual abuse of two young girls over several years. His crimes began when one victim was just six years old and left lasting trauma; police were called after one victim contemplated suicide. Murden forced his victims to watch pornography, used threats against them, and created an environment of fear that discouraged reporting his abuse. During police interviews, he stated that alcohol had impaired his behavior. Murden admitted to multiple sexual offences in court and was ordered to be on the sex offenders register for life, with an extended licence period.
