YORKSHIRE MAN JAILED FOR THREATENING GIRLFRIEND AND DAMAGING HER PROPERTY
Carey Wilson, a man from Yorkshire, has been sentenced to prison for a series of damaging and threatening behaviors.
Wilson's misconduct included making threatening phone calls to his girlfriend, visiting her home repeatedly after suspecting infidelity, and damaging her friend’s car by slashing four tyres and breaking the windscreen, with damages valued at approximately £600.
He also tried to gain entry to her house by destroying doors and windows and made ominous threats, such as promising to turn her life into 'hell' and threatening to hang her dog in the garden.
Additionally, he warned that he might send others to cause trouble at her residence.
Court proceedings disclosed that Wilson had prior convictions for affray and for causing fear of violence.
Although he expressed remorse for his actions and apologized, the court imposed a one-year prison sentence and a five-year restraining order.
The victim shared her concern about his release, saying, 'It has made me quite scared of Carey and what he is capable of.' The incident was described as involving 'utterly disgraceful' conduct, driven by jealousy and cocaine addiction.
