A man named Callum Maycock from Folkestone was arrested after he sexually assaulted a primary school girl in Folkestone on June 27. The incident occurred near Foord Road where Maycock made inappropriate comments and touched the girl in a sexually inappropriate manner, causing her to flee the scene. Police quickly responded, and Maycock was identified and arrested within 24 hours of the assault. He later admitted to the sexual assault. On November 15, at Canterbury Crown Court, he was sentenced to two years in prison, along with a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a 10-year restraining order designed to protect the victim and prevent future offenses. Det Sgt David Hinwood emphasized the police's commitment to protecting women and girls from harm and praised the victim for her cooperation during the investigation.
