Ford was found dead with several injuries.
During the trial at Luton Crown Court, Coote admitted to causing her death, with Judge Andrew Bright describing the attack as "sustained and terrifying brutality." The judge also praised Mrs.
Ford as a cherished member of the local community, known for her kindness and her work in tending the church gardens.

Court records explained that Mrs.
Ford had moved from the Isle of Wight roughly ten years earlier, aiming to stay close to her family.
