BRIAN CONNELLY FROM ROSYTH ADMITTED TO STEALING JEWELLERY IN BURNTS ISLAND

A man from Rosyth, Brian Connelly, stole jewellery from his partner and took it to a local pawnbroker shop. The 38-year-old, of Castlandhill Road, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court to face charges.
He pleaded guilty to stealing a quantity of jewellery on January 13th of the previous year at an address in Burntisland. The court was informed that Connelly’s partner noticed her gold chain and a ring were missing after he had spent the night at her home. Connelly subsequently took the stolen items to a pawnbroker and received £180.
Defense solicitor Alexander Flett explained that the jewellery was recovered from the pawnbroker, who was understandably out of pocket due to the theft.
Sheriff Garry Sutherland ordered Connelly to pay £180 in compensation to the shop.
