OFFENDERS CAUGHT ON CAMERA DRAG DOGS THROUGH DOORWAYS IN BALSALL COMMON
Both Bradley Regan Archer and Paige Williams were involved in the abuse of dogs, but Archer was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to failing to meet the needs of two dogs under section nine of the Animal Welfare Act.
The couple operated from their home in Balsall Common and were caught on video shouting, swearing, dragging Ayrton and Frieda by their collars, holding them off the ground, and pushing them through doorways and to the floor.
Archer, who had pleaded not guilty initially but changed his plea on the day of sentencing, was sentenced to a 12-month community order with 40 hours of unpaid work, ordered to pay £750 costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
Both were banned from keeping all animals for seven years.
RSPCA Inspector Ben Jones led the investigation, highlighting the betrayal of trust and the abuse that lasted for four weeks, with footage showing Ayrton and Frieda subjected to inappropriate handling that caused signs of anxiety and stress.
