WAKEFIELD MAN AVOIDS JAIL AFTER ASSAULTING EX-GIRLFRIEND AND BREAKING HER ARM
A resident of Wakefield avoided jail after violently assaulting his former partner and breaking her arm.Bradley Kynaston, 26 years old from Hollin Lane, Calder Grove, pleaded guilty to the assault that happened in 2022.
He was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court to 16 months in prison, suspended for two years, along with a requirement to complete 150 hours of unpaid community service.
He was also ordered to pay the victim £1,500 as compensation.
A restraining order was issued against him, banning him from contacting the woman.
After the hearing, Detective Sergeant Craig Magee, heading the Domestic Abuse Team and responsible for the investigation, stated: “We are glad the court has taken action in this case and hope that the victim can find some peace knowing justice has been served.
“Her willingness to report the incident was vital, allowing us to carry out a comprehensive investigation which led to his conviction.
Domestic abuse inflicts profound suffering and can be one of the hardest crimes for victims to report.
