Twelve men involved in the sexual exploitation of a vulnerable teenage girl in West Yorkshire have been sentenced to prison terms of up to 20 years. Eleven of these men were imprisoned at Bradford Crown Court after being convicted of raping the girl in Keighley from the age of 13. An additional man received a sentence for engaging in sexual activity with the same girl.
The court heard that the teenager was subjected to repeated assaults over a period of 13 months, spanning from 2011 to 2012. The girl was forced to have sex in various locations around Keighley, including an underground car park and a church graveyard.
During the trial, she was described as leading a "chaotic existence" at the time, having been reported missing from her home more than 70 times over a two-year period.
