HULL MAN JAILED FOR STALKING AFTER CAUSING ALARM TO VICTIM
Hull Magistrates' Court heard that 57-year-old Barry Hinds, of Barmouth Close, Hull, changed a previous plea of not guilty to guilty for stalking, in which he drove past the victim's address and loitered near their address, causing significant alarm or distress. He was sentenced to a two-year suspended prison sentence and was issued a two-year restraining order.
Additionally, he was ordered to pay £300 in costs and a £154 victim services surcharge.
The court documented that Hinds's actions constituted stalking and resulted in the court handing down these penalties to address his behavior.
