In a recent court ruling, Barry Carter, a 43-year-old resident of Sydenham, was sentenced to a decade behind bars for a series of serious sexual offences involving two young girls.

The sentencing took place at Woolwich Crown Court on November 18, following a conviction that stemmed from a series of disturbing incidents spanning several years.

In September, Carter was found guilty of ten separate counts related to attempted rape, indecent assault, and inciting a minor to engage in sexual activity.

These offences occurred across the boroughs of Bromley and Lewisham, highlighting a pattern of predatory behavior that spanned over two decades.

The first victim, now in her 30s, was assaulted in 1987 when she was a young girl.
