WILLENHALL MAN JAILED FOR LIFE FOR WIFE’S MURDER
Azad Singh, a 46-year-old man, was convicted of murdering his wife, Kulwinder Kaur, following an incident at their Gomer Street flat in Willenhall on 18 January. The prosecution revealed that Singh stabbed his wife with a kitchen knife, resulting in her death, after discovering her with another man.
During the attack, Singh also assaulted the man who was present, causing head and facial injuries.
Singh’s arrest followed a 999 call he made, where he confessed to having killed his wife.
Police found him with bloodstained hands and carrying a large kitchen knife tucked into his jacket.
An autopsy confirmed that Kaur died from three stab wounds to her neck.
Although initially denying involvement in her murder, Singh acknowledged injuring the man but denied killing his wife.
He later told a friend that he had lost control after she mocked his sexual abilities, but this explanation was dismissed by the court.
Singh was sentenced to a minimum of 14 years behind bars.
