TWO MEN JAILED FOR DOG FIGHTING ON A 'SIGNIFICANT SCALE' IN BIRMINGHAM
Ali, aged 33, of Ash Road, Alum Rock, admitted keeping or training animals for fighting, causing animals to fight, and promoting dog fighting activities.
He kept four fighting dogs between October 2022 and September 2023, three of which suffered injuries.
Ali was sentenced to 17 months on Monday, October 13.
He also pleaded guilty to possessing items designed for use in connection with animal fights and advertised fights through the OSK brand.
Ali was banned from keeping animals indefinitely.
The court described his activities as 'almost indescribably cruel,' with fights lasting hours, many dogs not surviving, and injuries often unseen due to the risk of detection.
