DERBY MAN SENTENCED AFTER ONLINE CHILD COMMUNICATION CASE
A man from Matlock, Derbyshire, has been sentenced after admitting to sexual communication offences involving a child.Anthony Quested was arrested in January 2022 and later entered a guilty plea to sexual communication with what he believed to be a 12-year-old child.
He was sentenced in April 2024 following court proceedings.
The court heard that Quested engaged in inappropriate online conversations that raised serious safeguarding concerns.
As a result of his guilty plea, he was sentenced to a three-year Community Order, ordered to complete 30 days of rehabilitation activity, made subject to a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), and ordered to pay court costs.
