BIRMINGHAM MAN JAILED FOR CHILD ABUSE AFTER SECRET RECORDINGS AND SEXUAL ASSAULTS
A man whose wife won a £3m house in an Omaze lottery has been jailed for sexually abusing and secretly recording young girls. In 2024 Anthony Doyle was pictured raising a bottle of champagne after his wife Rose scooped a luxury home in Cornwall as well as £100,000.
But then a year later the 67-year-old gas engineer was exposed as a paedophile when one of his three victims reported him to the police.
Today (Tuesday, November 25) Doyle, of Lockton Road, Stirchley was sentenced to six years and three months at Birmingham Crown Court, which heard his marriage is now in tatters amid divorce proceedings.
Police launched an investigation after one of the victims, aged 15, broke down in school and disclosed that Doyle had repeatedly sexually assaulted her.
When his phone was seized and analysed it was discovered he had not only secretly recorded her on multiple occasions but also another victim, who was 13 at the time.
The court was told of the devastating impact of Doyle's attacks with the first known victim resorting to self harm and feeling suicidal.
The second, who was unaware she had been filmed until police informed her, stated she felt 'embarrassed and objectified'.
The third victim, whose abuse dates back more than ten years, said it had a 'massive effect' on her mental health, confidence and ability to trust men.
Judge Peter Carr said: "It's hardly surprising your behaviour had the effect on your victims that it's had.
They may have to live with what you have done for a lot longer than this court is going to inflict on you with regards punishment." Doyle pleaded guilty to four charges of sexually assaulting a child under 13, two offences of sexual activity with a child, one count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, two offences of voyeurism and one charge of making indecent images of children.
