Comberton  Child Abuser
Andrew Wesley, aged 68, has begun serving a 12-year prison term after being convicted of historic child sex offences. The individual from Comberton near Cambridge was found guilty of sexually assaulting two underage girls between 1998 and 2003, following a trial at Peterborough Crown Court. Despite denying the allegations, Wesley was sentenced on September 13 after being convicted on multiple counts of indecent assault. Authorities revealed that the investigation was launched two years earlier, triggered by complaints from the victims. A police spokesperson explained, "Wesley's offending was uncovered in 2022 when the girls separately reported the historic incidents." Detective Constable Terry Bandoo described Wesley’s conduct as taking advantage of two children in a depraved manner, stating, "He abused them and deprived them of their innocent, carefree childhood." The officer also praised the victims for their courage and resilience in coming forward and supporting the legal process. The article includes images provided by Cambridgeshire Constabulary, featuring a photograph of Wesley and related visuals to emphasize the seriousness of the case and the bravery of the victims.
