ANDREW HYSLOP OF SKELMERSDALE SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES AGAINST YOUNG GIRLS
In October 2017, a man from Skelmersdale was sentenced to 18 months in prison after being convicted of encouraging four young girls to engage in sexual activities.
Andrew Hyslop, 29, of Blakehall, appeared at Preston Crown Court on Friday, October 20.
He was arrested in July following reports from four girls aged between 11 and 15, who said they had been approached by a man in the Skelmersdale area and subjected to sexualized comments.
Following a public appeal for information, which included a description of the suspect, Hyslop was identified and named as a person of interest.
Authorities subsequently arrested and charged him, and he pleaded guilty in court.
Hyslop received an 18-month prison sentence and was also subject to a 10-year sexual offences prevention order.
Additionally, he was issued a 10-year restraining order that bans him from entering Skelmersdale and approaching any of the victims.
