SENTENCE DEFERRED FOR SMAILHOLM WOMAN FOR GOOD BEHAVIOUR
SENTENCE has been deferred for good behaviour on a Smailholm woman who admitted a domestic abuse charge.Amy McLeod, 24, pleaded guilty to engaging in a course of behaviour which was abusive to a partner or ex-partner.
The offence happened in the Earlston area between June 1 and January 6.
Sheriff Peter Paterson said that, on the face of it, this was a serious matter but accepted the behaviour quite often occurred at the break-up of a relationship.
He told McLeod that if she was of good behaviour for the next six months she would be admonished.
The case will recall at Selkirk Sheriff Court on August 17.
