On January 28, 2003, Ali Sed appeared before His Hon.
Judge Lyons at the Crown Court in Wood Green, where he was found guilty of attempting to rape an 81-year-old woman who had Alzheimer’s Disease.
Following the conviction, on March 7, 2003, the judge sentenced him to an extended term of 14 years’ imprisonment.
This sentence was made up of a 10-year custodial period combined with an additional 4-year extended license period, in accordance with section 85 of the Powers of Criminal Courts (Sentencing) Act 2000.
