ELY FLASHER HIT WITH SEX OFFENDER TAG AND COURT ORDER

A FLASHER who exposed himself to two women in Ely has been placed on the Sex offenders Register.

Alexander Webb, 28, of Brook Lane, Stretham, will undergo treatment for sex offenders as part of his two-year probation order and must pay £50 in compensation to both victims who were shocked and upset by his behaviour.

Webb admitted two offences of exposure and was back in court this week to be sentenced.

Prosecutor Laura Mardell described Webb's actions, stating that he was twice caught exposing himself while sitting in his bright yellow car.

The incidents included Webb being seen near the St John’s Road play area, once on May 20 when he was seen with his trousers open, and again on June 7 when he was parked near the play area with his trousers down and fully exposed.

One woman walking in Tower Road was shocked and flustered after seeing Webb with his trousers open, while another woman walking her dog in broad daylight saw Webb's trousers were down, and he was fully exposed, despite children being nearby.

Webb, whose partner is pregnant, has struggled with sexual problems stemming from childhood abuse, diagnosed with depression, and prescribed medication.

His solicitor stated Webb has to keep certain things under wraps.

The presiding magistrate, David Bredin, emphasized that the treatment was partly as a punishment and partly to help him address his issues.
