PROBE INTO DEATH OF 42-YEAR-OLD HINGHAM SEX OFFENDER OPENS AT NORFOLK CORONER'S COURT
An investigation is under way after a man on the sex offenders' register was found dead at home.An inquest into Alexander Stallard was opened earlier this month, following his death in February.
The 42-year-old was found unresponsive at his home, in Lincoln Close, Hingham, on Sunday, February 16.
His death came six years after he admitted making indecent and pornographic images while on a cocktail of legal highs - some of which involved children.
Following a sentencing hearing in October 2019, Stallard was handed a suspended prison sentence and placed on the sex offenders' register for 10 years.
During a short hearing at Norfolk Coroner's Court, senior coroner Jacqueline Lake confirmed he had been born in Stevenage and was not in occupation at the time of his death.
She said a provisional medical cause of his death had been determined as toxicity of a form of painkiller.
She adjourned the inquest until January next year, with statements due to be provided by the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust and adult social services.
