ALEXANDER FIELD FROM SOUTH MARSTON FACES COURT OVER CHILD ABUSE IMAGES IN SWINDON
In November 2016, a man named Alexander Field from South Marston was brought before the magistrates in Swindon to face serious charges related to the possession and distribution of indecent images of children.The proceedings revealed a disturbing pattern of criminal activity involving the creation, sharing, and possession of explicit material involving minors.
Alexander Field, aged 36 and residing on Highworth Road in South Marston, pleaded guilty to multiple charges during his court appearance on a Wednesday.
The magistrates heard that on April 30, 2014, he admitted to producing and distributing indecent images of children, which were classified as category B and category C.
The following day, he further confessed to creating 58 indecent movies and 35 indecent images of children, classified as category A, which is considered the most severe level of such material.
In addition to these admissions, Field also pleaded guilty to four charges of distributing images of various categories—A, B, and C—to other individuals between May and July of 2014.
The court documents also included a disturbing final charge: possession of two extreme pornographic images involving a horse, indicating a broader pattern of disturbing behavior.
According to Crown prosecutor Anna Humphreys, police had executed a search warrant at Field’s residence after receiving intelligence suggesting he possessed a significant number of illegal images.
She stated, “He was interviewed and admitted his actions,” confirming that police found a total of 328 indecent images of children during their investigation.
The magistrates, after reviewing the case, decided they did not have the jurisdiction to impose a sentence for these serious offences.
They informed Field that he would be transferred to the Crown Court for sentencing.
The chairman of the bench, June May, emphasized the gravity of the charges, stating, “These matters are so serious that it is beyond our powers of sentencing.” Until his next court appearance, which is scheduled for a date to be fixed, Alexander Field was released on conditional bail.
The conditions of his release include a strict prohibition on any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18, reflecting the serious concern for public safety and the protection of minors involved in the case.
