BOURNEMOUTH DRUG DEALER TRASHED EX'S SOUTH OCKENDON FLAT
A jilted drug dealer has been jailed after smashing his way into his ex’s south Essex flat, trying to take back his engagement ring. When he discovered her in the bedroom with her new boyfriend, Adwayne Hall trashed the flat and stole her keys.
He was arrested and charged when employees at a Tesco Express reported seeing a man with a serious cut to his arm – sustained when he smashed his way through the flat’s balcony door with a brick.
But Hall then absconded from bail and went on the run, eventually being arrested months later after he was caught selling heroin and cocaine.
Hall, formerly of Wellington Road in Bournemouth, appeared at Basildon Crown Court the day after his 26th birthday, on a prison video link from HMP Winchester.
He was already serving a 21-month sentence there for drug-dealing.
The court heard he should have been sentenced at the same time for the August 2024 South Ockendon burglary, but a “failure” meant the two cases got listed separately.
She was sentenced to 11 months for the South Ockendon burglary, which will be served after his 21-month drug-dealing sentence.
The incident involved him repeatedly kicking at his ex-girlfriend’s front door, throwing a bottle at her window, and smashing through her flat’s doors with a brick, causing her and her new boyfriend to barricade themselves inside.
The court emphasized the fear caused to the victim and the importance of considering the totality of his offences.
