ADRIAN CHAPMAN ICKENHAM FLASER SENTENCED FOR REPEATEDLY EXPOSED HIMSELF TO YOUNG GIRLS IN HILLINGDON
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Ickenham, a man named Adrian Chapman has been found guilty of multiple counts of indecent exposure involving two young girls. The incident, which spanned several months, involved Chapman repeatedly exposing himself to the victims from an upstairs window of his residence, causing significant distress and fear among the children. The victims, aged just 11 and 12 at the time, first became aware of Chapman’s inappropriate behavior between February and September 2013. They observed him exposing himself from his upstairs window on multiple occasions. Despite their fear and confusion, the young girls did not immediately disclose what they had witnessed to anyone. It was only after another incident in September 2013 that one of the girls confided in her mother about what had been happening.
Following this disclosure, the mother promptly contacted the police, leading to an official investigation. Law enforcement officers, including specially trained detectives, conducted sensitive interviews with the young victims to gather evidence while minimizing their distress. The investigation quickly gained momentum, and on October 25, 2013, police officers from Uxbridge arrested Chapman at his home address in Ickenham. The same day, he was formally charged with the offences.
DC Anji Dawson of the Hillingdon Criminal Investigation Department expressed her appreciation for the bravery of the victims and their families. She stated, “I must firstly pay tribute to the young victims, who had the courage to speak out about this crime. I must also pay tribute to the victims’ families for all the support they gave to this investigation. It is as a result of their bravery and determination that Chapman has been brought to justice.”
Chapman’s trial concluded in July after a three-day hearing, during which a jury found him guilty of three counts of indecent exposure. The court proceedings revealed the extent of his misconduct over the months. On Tuesday, September 9, at Isleworth Crown Court, Chapman was sentenced to a 12-month community order. His sentence includes 200 hours of unpaid work, a 56-day curfew from 8 pm to 6 am, and a requirement to register as a sex offender for the next five years. Additionally, he was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60, emphasizing the seriousness of his crimes and the court’s commitment to justice for the victims involved.
