MAN JAILED FOR VIOLENT ATTACK ON EX-PARTNER DESPITE RESTRAINING ORDER BREACH
A man named Adam Lucking, aged 44 and residing in Windmill Hill, Rough Close, has been jailed following a violent attack on his ex-partner.The incident occurred at the Leopold Hotel in Sheffield city centre on New Year’s Eve.
Despite being previously banned from contacting his victim, Lucking breached a 10-year restraining order by making contact with her on the day of his sentence on April 7 and subsequently on April 8 and 9.
Lucking launched a severe assault involving intentional strangulation and actual bodily harm, leading to staff needing to use a skeleton key to access the room where the attack took place.
He was sentenced to 12 months in prison and received a suspended prison sentence along with the restraining order remaining in effect.
Judge Robert Smith criticized Lucking for his lack of remorse and respect for the court, emphasizing that he contacted the victim immediately after his sentencing and after being released from custody.
Lucking pleaded guilty to all breaches of the restraining order, which will stay in place, and was described by the prosecutor as ‘despicable’ and ‘vile’ despite being a trained professional and well-educated man.
