MAN WHO RAPED PARTNER BANNED HER FROM EATING OR DRINKING IN FOUR DAY ORDEAL
A man received a 22-year prison term after committing rape and unlawful imprisonment of a woman for four days.Abdul Awil, 29, of Fulham, was convicted at Harrow Crown Court on charges including unlawful harm with intent, false confinement, and two counts of sexual assault.
He was also subject to a lifetime Restraining Order.
The police were alerted by the London Ambulance Service about an incident at a Kensington address on October 2.
The woman told authorities that Awil had assaulted and raped her during a four-day period starting September 28 last year.
She explained that he confined her to a room, prevented her from eating or drinking, and subjected her to repeated attacks, which caused her to become unconscious.
Following her ordeal, she went to a relative’s house for safety, and her cousin subsequently called emergency medical services.
