'STALKING' ARREST AFTER ARMED POLICE STORM SOUTH OXHEY FLATS
Residents on Oxhey Drive witnessed a heavy police presence, including dog units, near their homes at approximately 4.15pm on Saturday, 23 March.The situation escalated when several armed officers entered a residential block.
Hertfordshire Police have since confirmed that the response was prompted by reports of a man seen with a "bladed article" in the street.
Aaron Tucker, aged 32 and from South Oxhey, was subsequently arrested.
He has been charged with multiple offences, including possession of an offensive weapon in both a private and public place, stalking causing fear of violence, stalking causing alarm and distress, and harassment without violence.
Tucker appeared before Hatfield Magistrates’ Court earlier today.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear next at St Albans Crown Court on 23 April.
Detective Constable Abi Wilkins, who is leading the investigation, said: “I am interested in speaking to anyone who may have been in Oxhey Drive between 4pm and 4.15pm on Saturday and may have spotted something suspicious.”
