KITTS GREEN MAN JAILED FOR ASSAULTS AND CONTROLLING BEHAVIOUR
Aaron Sheppard, of Pitmaston Road, Hall Green, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges including three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of controlling coercive behaviour, and breaching a molestation order. The victim, a mother of three, recounted her frightening ordeal surrounding Sheppard's abusive actions.
She described how he had previously been physically violent, including pushing her, kicking her, and threatening her with a broken mirror while pregnant.
She detailed the coercive control he exerted over her, such as manipulating her emotionally, threatening to take her children, and making her feel worthless.
She shared that after an incident in October 2019, Sheppard was arrested, remanded, and subsequently sentenced to three years and eight months in prison.
Most of this sentence has been served on remand, and he will be eligible for parole in October of this year.
The mother expressed her feelings about the justice served, stating: "For me, justice didn't get done because what he did was so horrific.
He didn't get the justice he deserved," as she spoke out to warn other women about domestic abuse and coercive control.
