MAN SEXUALLY ABUSED GIRL AND HAD ALMOST 2,500 CHILD ABUSE IMAGES
Logan Bradley Cranham was accused of touching a girl inappropriately on two separate occasions.Although she initially described feeling “uncomfortable and weird” at the time, it was only after she learned about the concepts of “good and bad touching” at school that she recognized what Cranham had done to her when she was 17.
He was taken into custody, and during the police interview, he chose not to comment.
When officers requested access to his devices, Cranham declined to provide the passwords, but eventually, they managed to bypass the security, uncovering nearly 2,500 images of child abuse on his laptop and phone.
The collection included ten videos and 24 images classified as Category A, indicating the most severe material, with photographs of children as young as three years old.
The images also depicted a teenage girl restrained by her wrists and ankles.
Evidence showed the existence of a folder structure on his devices, with search terms used to filter and locate the illicit content, which was protected by passwords.
Cranham, who resides on Fleetwood Rise in Atworth near Melksham, initially pleaded not guilty to two charges of sexual assault involving a child and six counts of creating indecent images.
However, on what was scheduled to be the first day of his trial in February, he changed his plea to guilty.
The young woman, who had already been cross-examined through a pre-recorded Section 28 hearing, was his victim.
Cranham was sentenced to two years and ten months in a young offenders’ institution.
